Ardent Knives is a one person shop in the Dallas Texas area. The vast majority of the work is done by hand using the stock reduction method.
Good steel, knowledge and experience are the heart and soul of the Ardent Knives manufacturing process. After working with the best alloys in the world, we’ve settled upon CTS-XHP as my top choice for the best steel for real-world, field-use knives. It's made by the fine people of Carpenter right here in the USA.
Choosing the right steel is only a small part of making the world's best field-use knife. The other part is having the knowledge and equipment to properly heat treat, temper and cryo treat it. We handle heat treatment and liquid nitrogen cryogenic treatment in house to ensure optimal results and batch-to-batch consistency.
