The Caracara is the product of years of research and collaboration with martial arts and knife-fighting experts in several different styles. The Caracara is made from American made Carpenter CTS-XHP stainless tool steel to provide the ultimate balance between corrosion resistance, edge retention and durability. From time to time, Caracaras are made from American made virgin L6 shock resistant tool steel. L6 is not especially corrosion resistant, but is very, very tough and more closely resembles the kinds of steels traditionally used to make karambits in South Asia. The original inventors of the karambit long ago would have been delighted by the quality of our L6!

The Caracara comes with a custom formed Kydex sheath. All Ardent Knives tools utilize industry standard 1.5 inch hole spacing so that the owner can use any industry standard mounting device they choose.
